In keeping with his passion for helping children and his love of the game of golf, the Charlie Ormsby Memorial Golf
Clinic for Children has been established.The 1st Annual Charlie Ormsby Memorial Golf Classic was such a success
that it generated proceeds enabling 21 children to attend a 5 day golf clinic taught by Fairview Farms golf pro Bob Sparks.
The clinic not only consisted of the lessons, but also provided a starter set of golf clubs (stand up bag included), trophies,
golf shirts, and numerous other golf accessories. More important, the children learned the etiquette, sportsmanship, and camaraderie
in the game that Charlie loved.
In 2004, the 2nd Annual Charlie Ormsby Memorial Golf Classic was such a success that it generated proceeds enabling
38 children to attend two 5 day golf clinics taught by Fairview Farm golf pro Bob Sparks. The children all recieved
the same golf clubs and acceseries as the previous years children.
In 2005, We were able to send 55 kids to the clinic over a two week period! We are thrilled with the success and hope
that we will be able to send more kids to the clinic in the future! Thank you to all that have helped and supported us! Your
participation is greatly appreciated!
In 2006, we sent 58 kids to the golf clinic. I can personally say they were a very entertaining bunch!
In 2007, we sent another 58 kids to our golf clinic. The enthusiasm I have seen from the kids has been amazing. We look
forward to this every year!
